Jeff is renowned for his “bold use of color.” Considering Jeff is acutely color blind, his ability to teach himself a range of color hues has given him a unique perspective in glass production and other art forms. A fan of art history, Jeff traveled to Rome, Italy, in 2004, following his intense desire to explore human relationships to sculpture and the space they occupy.  Jeff returned from Italy inspired to produce new, innovative glass, wood, plaster, plastic, string and metal sculpture – focusing mainly in the area of free-form hot glass. His “Installation Art,” creates venues for experiencing how people and art interact within a finite space. Jeff Eiswerth’s powerful 3-foot “Fist” sculpture was purchased by Gregory Smith, president of the Art Academy of Cincinnati, and remains in the school’s permanent collection of modern art.

While participating in a workshop at Glassworks in Louisville, Kentucky, Jeff Eiswerth was selected to be a member of the team led by Italian Glass Master Lino Tagliapietra. Lino’s influence can be seen in Jeff’s delicate glass-blowing style.  The glass vessels that Jeff creates are reminiscent of primitive designs that appear in various cultures throughout history. An emerging glass artist, Jeff tackles his interest in hot glass sculpture with heightened ambition to continually hone his technique and skills.

Jeff Eiswerth is a 2004 graduate of the Art Academy of Cincinnati – BFA, Sculpture and has continued his higher education working towards a BFA in both Computer Animation and Video Game Development from The Art Institute of Washington D.C.
